I’m a huge believer of how a plant-based diet is good for the environment, the animals and ourselves. Based in Hong Kong, I’ve noticed how the importance of healthy eating is hindered by the fast-paced city life. I went vegan at the age of 14 and have developed a huge passion for a healthy and conscious driven lifestyle since then. By cutting out animal products and eating unprocessed whole foods most of the time, I’ve developed a healthier relationship with food and experienced an improvement in my overall well-being.

Simone Camy

Brought up as an ‘international’ kid - having moved around her whole life - she feels like every place and every person she meets is a story worth telling. Which is where the writing all began - from blogging to writing for online portals since the day she graduated. Writing has always been her go-to form of expression - with words being the best way to declutter the mind. Aside from writing, she’s always found calm in running and meditation (still a newbie to this one) - though she still can’t help but indulge in good local food from time to time - she still tries to balance to it all with a good dose of healthy, here and there. Everyday is a learning curve, every experience is something to take home.

Kate Sarginson

I am passionate about health and wellness, and I thrive in connecting with people, and helping them to reach their own goals and true potential.

British by passport, KL has been my home now for over 10 years. After coming for a holiday to visit family on my way to Australia and New Zealand, I ended up staying here to pursue a job opportunity and the rest, you could say, is history. My time in KL has been fantastic, and my love of travel, experiences and adventures has grown firmly in that time.

After 9 years in sports marketing, events and business development, followed by a stint in the publishing field, I was fortunate enough to take some time out to rediscover my true passion and the bigger question - once found, could I turn it into a job!? My road of discovery lead me to wellness and training as a health coach with the globally renowned Institute of Integrative Nutrition, as well as training as a Personal Training (NASM) and Yoga Instructor (Yoga Alliance). I offer these services in KL under my brand Common Wellness, along with making the most of my marketing and events background, bringing together unique wellness events. Furthermore, I represent the global wellness platform, Welltodo in Asia, helping their expansion into the key markets of Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong through content, careers and events.

Morning yoga, running, cycling and fueling myself with wholesome and tasty food are my firm favourites when it comes to pastimes, along with travel, family, friends and a good glass of Malbec ;-)

Nathalie Ricaud

Nathalie Ricaud is a professional organiser and the founder of Get Organised & Beyond.

She works with families who feel overwhelmed by all the stuff they’ve accumulated in their homes or by all the activities they’re trying to fit into their schedules. She helps them declutter and set up systems so they can create and maintain a clutter-free, organised and peaceful home, and make time for the important things in their life.

In addition to the hands-on work she does with her clients, Nathalie is also the author of a blog and is regularly published in the media, which has named her “Singapore’s answer to Marie Kondo.” She’s also a regular speaker on the topic of clutter and personal organisation.

Janice Tay

During her time in Melbourne, Janice embraced the city’s health craze where clean eating and organic whole food options are easily accessible at most of the brunch cafes. Ever since, she has been a self-professed avocado eating machine, and is always keen to explore and try out any new restaurants in town. However, she does not take her high metabolism for granted and can be seen swimming laps on most weekends. To calm her non-stop chattering mind, she practices Ashtanga Yoga to find her own grounding in the present moment.

Dr. Helena Kumaran

I am a doctor and I enjoy the gift of life. I believe in living our lives to the fullest and no dream is out of reach. Becoming a doctor has been a childhood dream of mine and I have sacrificed most of my youth studying and it’s a decision that I will never regret. I love being in the medical field and having the ability to help people with their problems, let it be emotional or physical. I have been abroad for the past 6 years in Moscow completing my medical degree and I have developed a passion for medical missions. I have travelled to rural areas in India, villages in Sri Lanka and various places in Malaysia and Russia on medical missions to help the needy. I believe in giving back to the society.

Reading and writing has been my favourite past time since young, I can bury myself in books for hours and remain lost in the world the writer has created. I enjoy expressing myself through writing.

I love travelling and learning new cultures. Differences in culture are to be embraced and celebrated. I feel rejuvenated every time I travel and I crave for more the instant I’m back home. I also enjoy cooking during my free time. It’s easier to connect to people’s heart through food especially when there’s a language barrier.

I am also learning to adapt into living a healthier lifestyle. I believe in taking small steps when it comes to healthy living and making lifestyle changes. I want to be able to inspire people along the way as I embark this lifetime journey with them.

Farhana for Banyan Tamarind Foods

Banyan Tamarind Foods was inspired by a beautiful project started in India, called The Banyan Tamarind Initiative. The work sets out to shift the education of the environment, from cities to villagers, where the biggest shift in environmental protection is set to take place. Banyan Tamarind Foods began serving delicious gourmet vegetarian cuisine, fast food style, in 2016. The food has since been successfully served at over 30 events, and has grown through word-of-mouth and recommendations. Finding flavors, colors and textures from world gourmet, like the streets of Mexico, to the countertops of Tokyo, combining different ingredients, which come together in a scrumptious and finger-licking meal, is the map for every dish. Every bite is filled with adventure, bringing an experience of a journey into eating. During the meal, one stops to discover something new, or revisits something familiar. The food is comforting, as well as being delightfully delicious!
