Who says eating out as a vegan is impossible?

Singapore is experiencing the same transition as most other cosmopolitan countries and becoming more vegan-friendly every day. Whether you are a hard-core vegan or even if you just explore meatless meals from time to time, we have picked out the top 5 spots in Singapore where you can easily get vegan food with no hassle.

This is its first outlet outside of Taiwan. Sufood offers a variety of interesting Italian-inspired dishes which are meat-free and healthy. Its set menu features a wide selection from breads, soups, salads, vinegars, to main courses, desserts and drinks.

You can enjoy their special filling 8-course vegetarian set meal with vegan options for a very reasonable price. Some of the signature mains are Baked Potato Al Funghi and Porcini Pasta which are surprisingly well-flavoured.

A truly unique dining experience which is sure to please from starters to desserts!

Real Food

This cafe makes food free from processed ingredients, artificial preservatives, trans-fat and meat. The interior of the dining area is very spacious, impressive and cosy with a section for dining and gatherings and another one for some lone reading or quiet afternoon chats with friends. It has that modern and 'hipster' look.

The dishes on the menu are full of flavour, satisfying, fresh and priced right!

Here is where you'll  find  one of my favourite  dishes of all time - the dry dumpling noodles, a whole plate of organic brown rice udon noodles, blanched bok choy, fresh cherry tomatoes and six handmade vegetable dumplings which are flavourful and packed with various and different textures that will make you want to come back again and again.

With a fusion of Eastern and Western flavours, this small yet incredible place provides quality and value-for-money meatless and tasty dishes with no garlic, onion, or egg used.

A must-order is the Blue Rice Set - basmati rice tinted blue from blue pea flowers and accompaniments. These include pieces of air-fried mock fish, lady's finger, cucumber, toasted shredded coconut, kaffir lime leaves, ginger flower and a dollop of sambal. Everything is air-fried so eat without guilt here. Definitely worth a try!

Brownice Italian Bistro

Brownice is a great space with friendly staff. They have a wide variety of Italian food which you can dine on guilt-free - pizza, pasta, risotto, treats and everything in-between.

These dishes are full of flavour, texture and colour so you won't feel like you're missing out on anything at all.  Mushroom and veggie pizza with vegan cheese, risotto balls filled with cheese and covered in sauce, and an amazing creamy pasta; they're among the most ordered dishes, so you should try them out! If you somehow have any room left after your main, I beg you to give the desserts a try. You will definitely be going to Brownice very often.

Is there anything more delicious than an açaí bowl? To start with, açaí (pronounced ah-sigh-ee) berry is absolutely loaded with antioxidants, essential fatty acids and to make things even better, it is said to be extremely low in sugar.

For those who don't know what an acai bowl is, it´s an acai smoothie base with a heap of fruits and superfood toppings. After eating a bowl, you will not only be happily full for hours but you will also have satisfied a sweet craving which will give you energy and nutrition.

This adorable little shop located on the quieter side of Holland Village has a very clean, minimalist feel to it - much like the menu! They have three sizes of the bowls and a handful of blended Acai fruit drinks for you to choose from.

I would definitely recommend the Original Flower Bowl with an acai blended base topped with granola, fresh fruit, and other superfood such as chia seeds, raw cacao nibs, coconut shavings, goji berries and bee pollen for a refreshing tasty ‘dessert’.
