So, following from my last article, here’s part 2 of the healthy cafe series! I have ventured off to our neighbour Singapore to give you some of my favourite cafes to head to when in search of a healthy meal.

1. The Autobus

A recent discovery for me, this place is uber cool.  Designed with cyclists in mind there are bicycles and bike gear donning the decor but that doesn’t distract from a great airy and modern space with a perfect working / meeting vibe

2. Common Man, Robertson Quay

Singapore does cafes well and similar to the TTDI outlet, this one is probably up there as one of my favourites.  Buzzing with people throughout the day the service, decor and menu are all impeccable.  I’m not a coffee drinker myself, but word on the street is these guys are top dog. Tip - it’s just around the corner from Orange Theory Fitness, so you can head for a workout there and then refuel at Common Man.

3. Luxe Sydney, Keong Saik Road

Describing themselves as ‘contemporary Australian’, and all day dining, I think you can probably imagine the rest.  Quality food and great service make this a winning spot whatever time of day.

4. Sarnies

A great CBD option this place tucked away on Telok Ayer is usually jam packed with macs, coffees & mega good sandwiches (hence ‘sarnies’!) this place is spot on in describing itself as wholesome, with a relaxed vibe and aussie feel.  Top tip, only 9 minutes from Firestation 3.0 boutique gym, there’s another opportunity to throw your workout into the mix!

Just round the corner from Sarnies is this little gem.  Healthy food that is cooked with love and most importantly - flavor!  Elika, the owner is an IIN graduate and has brought together a fantastic menu of food that caters for vegans, vegetarians, athletes, clean-meat lovers, food intolerances and those just looking to lead a more healthy lifestyle.  Pull up a chair, and work away whilst enjoying some fabulous and healthy food.  Likewise, Firestation 3.0 is a short walk away.

6. The Lokal

Another cafe with an aussie inspiration, this place is a great option to work away a few hours or have a meeting and you won’t be on your own!  They use the same beans as Sarnies so you can be guaranteed a good brew as well - or, if you’re like me, a top cuppa of peppermint tea!

With 8 locations across the city, this is a great spot for a european, no-fuss fix to prop yourself up for some time.

8. Jimmy Monkey

A pretty specific part of town this place has a quirky feel to it with great food and a cool, pretty hipster vibe it is worth checking out.  No surprise it’s another Aussie influenced cafe, not that it’s a bad thing.  Coffee is at the heart of the cafe, along with seasonal, hearty and rustic food.  A perfect distraction from the tapping away on the laptops...

9. Real Food

As per the KL outlet, however with 5 different locations across the city, you’re spoilt for choice.  Offering simple but warm decor, great menu catering to vegetarian and vegan food along with gluten free options, this place is a good ‘go to’
