Poké bowls are a fairly recent addition to the health scene here in Malaysia, and it’s safe to say that they are here to stay. paperfish, located in the heart of TTDI, aims to help Malaysians commit to a healthier lifestyle by serving fresh cuts of sashimi marinated in familiar Asian flavours, paired with the freshest local produce into poké bowls.

Healthy, Asian-inspired vegetarian bowls
You may already be familiar with Rawsome at the mention of chia seed puddings. In 2015, they began delivering chia seed puddings as meal replacements and healthy desserts all around the Klang Valley. Recently, we learnt that they are now offering healthy, Asian-inspired vegetarian meals. This means spicy, savoury meals filled with intense flavours that we all grew up to know and love.
Vegetarian Nasi Lemak
Rawsome’s Vegetarian Nasi Lemak is hands down one of the most popular healthy meals on their menu. Made with brown rice quinoa in coconut oil, mushroom chia seed sambal, soy mock meat curry, green beans, roasted cashews and pasteurised soft boiled eggs, this dish doesn’t compromise on taste, quality and portion – a true star winner.

5. SALA @ Desa Sri Hartamas
Sala, Desa Sri Hartamas
Sala is a new Tex-Mex vegan restaurant in KL. The name means “living room” in Spanish, which aptly describes this casual, friendly space for people to gather and enjoy 100% vegan food with a peace of mind. Sala is also short for “salvar a los animales” which means “save the animals”, the main reason that birthed this fully vegan restaurant.

BBQ Jackfruit Tacos may sound odd, but it is a brilliant pairing of sweet, smoky and savoury in a bite. This taco is made with black beans, carrots, coleslaw, pico de gallo, corn salsa, roasted tomato chipotle salsa, vegan sour cream, vegan nacho cheese, jalapeno peppers. So good, you won’t even know it’s vegan.

Vegan Nasi Lemak
Here comes the surprise - Vegan Nasi Lemak. For those who aren’t quite ready to try vegan Mexican meals, Sala presents a more familiar option with their own spin on it. This all-time favourite Malaysian dish is served with two types of sambal – vegan sambal and vegan sambal “bilis” – tempeh, vegan “ikan bilis”, groundnuts, cucumber, white rice and long beans.
