Try This Green Bean Porridge (Bubur Kacang)

The perfect combo of a little salty and a little sweet, this warming porridge is the perfect way to start the day healthily. For best results, don’t forget to soak your green beans overnight!

 

Recipe: Green Bean Porridge (Bubur Kacang)

 

Ingredients:

      • 300g green beans
      • 2 cups coconut milk
      • 2 cups water
      • 1/2 of gula Melaka
      • 2 pandan leaf
      • Salt to taste

Method:

      1. Soak the green beans overnight. After soaking, boil beans until tender.
      2. Cook coconut milk, gula Melaka and pandan leaves into the green peanut and cook until boiling on low heat.
      3. Lastly, add water and stir slowly to loosen up the porridge. Salt to taste and serve alone or with bread.
