Avocado Shake with Chocolate Fudge

Imagine slurping a rich and creamy avocado shake with streaks of chocolate syrup on the inside of the glass, amidst an emerald-hued landscape of rice fields, banana trees and swaying coconut palms. I was hunting for avocado shakes all over Bali on my first trip to the island. Give this healthy raw Avocado Shake with Chocolate Fudge a try and you might be transported there as well.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
- 3 ripe avocados
- 400ml cold almond mylk
- 3 tbsp raw honey
- Chocolate Fudge Sauce
- ¼ cup raw cacao powder
- ¼ cup dates, seeds removed
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- A pinch of salt
- ¼ cup water
For the chocolate fudge sauce:
Blend the cacao powder, dates, coconut oil and salt in a food processor until smooth. Add water and blend until smooth. Place in the fridge for 5 minutes to thicken.
For avocado shake:
Halve the avocados, take out the seeds and scoop the flesh into a blender. Blend all the other ingredients except the chocolate syrup until smooth. Add more honey to taste.
Pour the chocolate fudge sauce down the sides of the serving glasses. Then pour in the avocado shake and serve.
