Say goodbye to those love handles and muffin tops with this short, waist-whittling workout. No equipment required (only a mat if you’re doing this outdoors). Get ready to work your abs, obliques and lower back!
Working hard towards a slim and trim waist isn’t only going to make you look healthier and sexier, you decrease your risk of multiple diseases. Who knew your waistline had such an impact on your health? Turns out that waist circumference is a predictor of your health and if you’re carrying excess belly fat and internal fat deposits around your organs (visceral fat), there is an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease leading to a cluster of diseases known as metabolic syndrome.
Regardless of your height or build, keep your waist measurements to below 80cm (for Asian women) and below 90cm (for Asian men).
Remember to focus on technique. Whenever you do an abdominal workout, use slow, controlled motions. Tighten your core and remember to breathe.
